(WKYT) – Kentucky State Police say one man was arrested and charged with murder following a reported barn fire.
Troopers responded to KY-577 around 8:30p.m. Friday night to a request for assistance at a barn fire by Clay County 911. At the scene, initial first responders discovered a man in the fire debris with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. KSP was then called to investigate.
KSP say an autopsy was performed where investigators identified the victim as 40-year-old Nathaniel Carter of McKee.
Authorities located and interviewed 28-year-old Dalton Bowling of Manchester. Bowling was then arrested and charged with murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
