The US Forest Service is currently accepting applications for youth conservation crew members for the upcoming summer. Youth ages 16 through 18 are encouraged to apply to work this summer, starting June 3rd, for eight weeks doing mowing, weed eating, trail maintenance, trash collection, facility maintenance, and more within the forest. Youth crew members will be paid $15 per hour for their work and should apply by March 11th. The Monticello Wayne County Rescue Squad would like to announce the start of their annual picture-taking fundraiser. It will be the same company as last year.
They’ve been in business assisting with fundraisers for thirty-plus years.
Representatives will soon be going door to door throughout the city and county.
Donations of $30 dollars or more will receive a free 8×10 color portrait to be taken at the Rescue Squad building on Boone Street at a later date. (Chief Vincent Decker and the squad greatly appreciate your continued support and they thank you in advance for your donation.
Monticello Masonic Lodge 431 will be having a public pancake breakfast on March 2 from 7 am to 11 am.
Pancakes, waffles, sausage, eggs, bacon, fruit, milk, coffee, juice. The cost is 8$ per person. Once again this is open to the community and all proceeds will go to charities for Wayne County.
