The Monticello City Council met in regular session last evening.
The Council approved the hiring of Jordan Crabtree as the city’s ABC Administrator/Code Enforcment Officer. Pay will be $17 per hour.
It was noted that Angela Reynolds has been appointed as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Monticello Utility Commission.
The First reading of the Fiscal Year Budget was heard totaling just over $4.3 million. There is an additional $500,000 in this year’s budget pertaining to the new tourism committee.
The Monticello Utility Commission reported noted more expenses than revenue as a one-time purchase for some new equipment was necessary.
