Roundabout Project Set to Start on Monday

HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT STARTS MONDAY IN WAYNE COUNTY
Work on a $3.62 million highway safety improvement project at the intersection of KY 90 and KY 92 in Wayne County is expected to begin Monday, Nov. 2.
The project will convert the existing four-way intersection into a roundabout designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety and reduce congestion.
🚦 What you need to know:
-Initial work will focus primarily on shoulder work through the intersection.
-Occasional lane restrictions and flaggers are expected.
-The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone.
-The project is scheduled for completion in August 2027.
⚠️ Motorists are urged to slow down, use caution and pay close attention to signs and flaggers while traveling through the work zone.
Roundabouts are a proven safety countermeasure that can reduce fatal crashes by 90% and injury crashes by 75% compared with traditional intersections.
