Wayne County Records the Highest in Bear Harvest

Kentucky bear archery season closed on Wednesday night.
Here are the results –
121 bears in five days. Fifty-four of those came on opening day alone, which is nearly a quarter of everything killed in this state this year, in one day.
The season to date sits at 230 bears, and firearms season in December hasn’t happened yet.
Zone 3’s early archery season, September 19-October 2, produced 27 bears.
Dog season, October 19-23, produced 78 with 31 on the opener.
Archery, October 24-28, produced 121.
Firearms runs December 12-16.
