Kelly Wayne Criswell was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on April 8, 1941, and departed this walk of life on Saturday, October 24, 2026, reaching the age of 85 years. He was the beloved son of Marion Criswell and Maude (Gregory) Criswell.
He is survived by his Sons: David Wayne Criswell, Eric Criswell (Heather); Grandchildren: Logan, Eryka and Sydney Criswell and Katelyn Dodd. Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Brylin and Genesis. Along with Fiancé: Margie Crabtree. As well as many family members and friends who will cherish his memory and mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Doreda Dale Criswell; Sisters: Irene Foster, Leva Bell, Lily Anderson, and Mavis Long; Brothers: Jim- better known as Hoyt, Willis and one infant brother. Stepfather, Ezra Hill.
Kelly committed his life to the Lord as a young man and attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing pool, squirrel hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 5 PM – 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, October 28 until the Funeral service hour of 10:30 AM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Criswell Family Cemetery.
