Monticello Firefighters & other first responders were called to the scene of an accident in which a car and motorcycle collided on Old Highway 90 Sunday afternoon. One male patient was transported by Wayne County EMS to the Wayne County Airport to meet up with PHI helicopter service to transport the patient to UK.
In other activity involving our local firefighters;
Firefighters responded to a two vehicle accident on the Highway 90 Bypass. Firefighters provided traffic control and cleaned up the debris in the road.
Firefighters responded to Dutch Lowe Lane for a report of a chemical smell in the area.
Firefighter responded to Old Highway 90 at the Gap of the Ridge for a report of lots of smoke in the area.
