Sheriff Bobby Jones announces that Ronald Rose, 47, of Eubank, was sentenced today in Pulaski Circuit Court to 25 years in prison following his guilty plea in connection with a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on November 2, 2022, at the intersection of North Highway 27 and Highway 70 in Pulaski County.
The crash resulted in the deaths of Aaron Singleton and Ashley Singleton, both of Science Hill, who were occupants of a 2014 Nissan Rogue involved in the collision.
The investigation determined that Rose, operating a 2005 GMC Yukon, disregarded a red traffic signal while traveling northbound on Highway 27 and struck the Singleton vehicle as it entered the intersection. Witnesses reported observing Rose run the red light immediately before the collision.
Evidence obtained during the investigation showed speeds from Rose’s exceeding 100 miles per hour in the seconds leading up to the crash. Investigators also obtained blood samples from Rose, which later tested positive for amphetamine, ketamine, and methamphetamine.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive investigation with assistance from the Kentucky State Police, the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office, and other agencies.
The case was investigated by the Detective Ryan Jones and prosecuted by Commonwealth’s Attorney David Dalton. Sheriff Jones would like to thank Mr. Dalton and his staff for their thorough work on this case.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office continues to extend its thoughts and prayers to the family and loved ones of Aaron and Ashley Singleton.
