The Wayne County Fiscal Court will meet Thursday, June 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fiscal Courtroom. The agenda includes several significant items, beginning with the 2nd Reading of the FY27 Budget Ordinance, along with routine intra‑fund and inter‑fund transfers and the review of county claims.
Magistrates will also hear multiple items from the Sheriff’s Office, including the 2025 Tax Settlements, 2026 Budget Amendments, and the 2024 Tax Settlement Audit Distribution. The court is also scheduled to award contract bids, consider a board appointment to the CTS Board, and vote on a road removal request for 162 feet of Stearns Hollow Road.
Other agenda items include hiring a summer employee for the Judge’s Office, reviewing an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement related to the Cumberlands Workforce Development Area, and considering a donation to the Quilt Show of the Little Mountains.
Department heads from EMS, Solid Waste, Animal Control, 911 Mapping, the Detention Center, and others will present their monthly reports.
