Shelly Renay McClain was born September 11, 1973, and departed this life Wednesday, 29, 2026, reaching the age of 52 years. She was the daughter of Kathy (Buster) McClain and Russell Wayne McClain.
She is survived by: her mother, Kathy McClain; aunts and uncle, Mary & Joe Anderson and Connie Buster; great aunt, Leona Craig. She is also survived by: cousins, Gena Buster (Steve), Carla Shaw (Mike), Tamatha Sanchez (Ray), Dana Buster (Gerald), Todd Anderson (Stacy) Anderson, Naomi Tucker, Shalico Goodman, Todd Lay, and Roger Lay; special niece and nephew, Zane Willson, Riley Pennington and Bobby Kennedy; along with her many family and friends in Indiana.
In addition to her father, Russell Wayne McClain, she was preceded in death by: grandparents, Eva & Leslie Buster and Virgina & Leonard McClain; uncle, Leslie Paul; aunts, Rosie Buster and Diane Goodman; and great nephew, Billy Dean Kennedy.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2026, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
