(WKYT) – GoFundMe fundraisers were set up for the families of the victims of the Berea bank shooting.
On Thursday, April 30, an affidavit says a shooter, identified as Brailen Weaver, entered U.S. Bank in Berea and shot and killed two people, 42-year-old Brian Switzer and 35-year-old Breanna Edwards.
The GoFundMe fundraiser for Edwards’ family is intended to cover funeral costs, as well as any unexpected expenses related her her passing, the GoFundMe page said.
As of 5 a.m. on Monday, May 4, the GoFundMe has raised over $22,000.
“Breanna Edwards leaves behind an incredible family who loved her more than words can describe, all of whom are absolutely devastated by this loss,” the GoFundMe page reads. “Breanna loved her community, and had worked incredibly hard to build relationships in Berea over the last couple of years. Seeing the community she was so proud to be apart of come together in a show of support for her family is everything she could have ever asked for in a situation this horrific.”
The GoFundMe fundraiser for Switzer’s family is to help support Switzer’s wife and three children, according to the GoFundMe page.

“Brian will be missed sorely by everyone that knew him,” the GoFundMe page reads. “If you’re able to donate to this family in their time of need, I know they’d greatly appreciate it.”
