(WKYT) – Votes are already being cast in Kentucky.
Excused in-person absentee voting continues through Wednesday. In-person no-excuse early voting starts Thursday.
Locations will be open through Saturday for voters to cast ballots before Election Day.
Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams is encouraging Kentuckians to take advantage of early voting.
“I think we’ll be pretty smooth simply because we have the same footprint for voting locations that we had two years ago. Two years ago, we had a massive turnout for a presidential election. This year we won’t have the same turnout, it will be really modest compared to that, but we have the same facilities, the same number of poll workers, so that suggests to me that we shouldn’t have any lines to speak of,” Adams said.
Election Day is Nov. 3.
