Nate Morris withdraws from Kentucky Senate race, to join Trump Administration as an ambassador

 (WKYT) – Nate Morris withdrew his candidacy for the upcoming Kentucky Senate race and is set to join the Trump Administration as an ambassador, according to social media posts.

Nate Morris is one of the candidates running for Senate in Kentucky.
 

Morris made the announcement on Friday, May 1, after Trump posted that he asked Morris to “step aside” from the Senate race, and to instead take a role as an ambassador in his administration.

In his post, Trump said Morris’ new role would be announced soon.

Morris also joined Trump in endorsing Andy Barr for Senate.

“Like President Trump said, Andy knows what it takes to get things done and deliver BIG for the America First agenda,” Morris said in a social media post.
