Man Arrested after violating and EPO

According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a Monticello man has been arrested on multiple charges after an Emergency Protective Order violation.

On April 22, 2026, at approximately 9 pm, Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputies were dispatched to a residence on the Salley Burnett Road by the Wayne County 911 Dispatch Center for an assault complaint. Upon their arrival they observed the front door of the residence as having major damage. Once speaking with the home owners they learned that a male had kicked the door in then assaulted one of them. The male had already fled the scene prior to the Deputies arrival. Deputies then went to the suspects residence located on Kentucky Highway 833. When the Deputies pulled into the residence the male suspect was standing outside. Once the suspect noticed the Deputies he attempted to flee from them on foot and then ran inside his residence. After the suspect failed to open his door, Deputies then made a entrance inside to effect the arrest.
