(WKYT) – Kentucky Men’s Basketball picked up its first transfer commit earlier this week and now the cats have their second. Furman star freshman guard Alex Wilkins has committed to the Kentucky Wildcats.
Wilkins averaged 17.8 points, 4.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds for the Paladins, leading Furman to the SoCon Tournament championship and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Furman drew UConn in the first round and Wilkins showed out, scoring 21 points on 8-15 shooting and 4-8 from three with four assists, one rebound and one steal in Furman’s 82-71 loss.
The rising sophomore was also named to the 2025-26 All-Southern Team while also winning the 2026 Southern Tournament MVP Award.
Wilkins joins a backcourt with Zoom Diallo as Kentucky seems to have found its tow ball handlers for next season.
