The rescue squad has been extremely busy over the last few days: storm runs and cleanup, traffic control, emergency transports, and, most recently, on Tuesday afternoon. We were called to retrieve a victim out of the woods who had become too weak after exploring a cave to make it up on his own. The squad responded and used ropes to get to the subject and lift him up for transport out to Wayne County EMS. We are glad it turned out as well as it did and appreciate everyone who helped and was involved in the rescue.
