Forestry Services Started Prescribed Burns Over the Weekend

On Saturday, fire crews on the Daniel Boone National Forest completed one of the largest single-period prescribed burn operations in the Southern Appalachians—treating 9,100 acres across three counties. These operations strengthened forest health, reduced hazardous fuels, and protected nearby communities.
