. (WKYT) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a wanted man who reportedly ran away from officers Sunday, March 1.
Jeremy Roberts, 31, was stopped around 7 p.m. after officers noticed the car he was driving did not have a license plate. The sheriff’s office said Roberts fled on foot toward Cherry Avenue during the stop.
Deputies found drugs, multiple firearms, a stolen AR 15 and a reported stolen suppressor, the sheriff’s office said.
Roberts is wanted on charges of evading on foot, drug trafficking, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance and convicted felon with a firearm.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office described Roberts as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, and said he was wearing a brown shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes.
