According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a 59-year-old Wayne County man has died as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Sheriff Office Deputies were dispatched along with multiple agencies by the Wayne County 911 Dispatch Center at approximately 7:08 pm on June 30, 2025, to the accident scene which occurred on West Kentucky Highway 90 with the intersection of Kentucky Highway 1546. All occupants of the Toyota pickup were treated at the scene by the Wayne County Emergency Services, then transported to the Wayne County Hospital and Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Two patients were later flown to the University Hospital by PHI Medical Helicopter Services from the Wayne County Hospital.
The Wayne County Sheriff Deputy Jerry Meadows is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Deputies Brad Tucker, Valis Smedley and Zachery Bybee.
