The Wayne County Fiscal Court met Thursday night for their April meeting with all magistrates and County Judge present. The court approved 1,200ft of the Kendrick Cemetary road into the county system. Vincest Decker was re-appointed to the e911 board. The court accepted the 911 budget proposal for the next fiscal year to be taken into consideration. The proposed budget would include a pay increase for local dispatchers.
Department reports were read, and the county gave approval to purchasing a dump truck for the road department, it will be the 4th and final purchase at this time. The purchase gets all the older vehicles off the roadway and the county may into a surplus sale later this year.
