Run Report 10-17-24
Monticello Fire Department responded to 3 calls for service today.
1) At 10:13 AM the department was dispatched and responded to a request for Landing Zone service for Wayne County EMS. The call was canceled when the aeromedical services declined due to weather.
2) At 11:28 am fire personnel responded to West Highway 90 Bypass to a 2 vehicle collision west of Traffic Light #3 (90/92). Personnel assisted by controlling traffic and removing debris from the roadway.
3) While still on the scene of the collision, the department was dispatched to a grain dryer fire on a farm on Hwy 1765. Damage was minimal to the equipment thanks to quick action by the owner prior to our arrival.
