Jack is one, of the two remaining, World War II Veterans who served from Wayne County. He served as a Marine in Japan.
Upon his return from the war, in 1946, he joined his Dad, Obie Shearer, in his family insurance business which is the current Jack Shearer Insurance Agency in the Town and County Plaza.
It would mean so much for you to send a scared and if you choose, include a personal message of your memory of him.
At 99 ( as of September 30), his mind remains brilliant, and his love for his hometown remains dear to him.
