Whitley County firefighter treated for heat exhaustion

(WKYT) – A firefighter in Whitley County was treated for heat exhaustion after responding to a cabin and camper trailer fire.

The Woodbine Fire Department aided the Oak Grove Fire Department in extinguishing a cabin and camper trailer fire in the Frankfort School Road Community area.

The fire had spread to a portable dumpster, some vehicles and a motorcycle, according to the fire department.

The fire was quickly extinguished, fire crews say, but a firefighter needed to be treated for heat exhaustion.

No other injuries were reported.
