Monticello Tourism meeting Recap

The Monticello Tourist Commission moved through a focused agenda during its August 18 meeting, approving several items aimed at supporting local tourism and community events. Commissioners signed off on new downtown signage through Modern Signs and Graphics and committed $2,500 in sponsorship for the Bradley Roy Fishing Tournament, a major regional draw. The board also voted to shift its regular meeting schedule to the second Tuesday of each month at 5:15 p.m. beginning in November. The next meeting is set for September 15 at the Chamber of Commerce office.
