(WKYT) – Blue Grass Energy is working to restore power to over 3,000 customers across Central Kentucky after overnight storms caused outages.
Many outages were caused by trees falling into power lines, according to Blue Grass Energy.
Crews are continuing to assess the system, and Blue Grass Energy said they anticipate finding additional damage.
There is no current estimation on when power will be restored, but Blue Grass Energy said they would update customers as soon as they have a better understanding of the damage.
Blue Grass Energy advised people to stay far away from downed power lines and to report it to them by calling 888-546-4243.
