(WKYT) – Another Kentucky city is asking residents to conserve water.
The city of Campton recently asked residents to do so due to drought conditions in the area and worries about water levels in the local reservoir.
It has shared many tips on reducing water use on its social media page.
Some of the tips include:
- Check for leaks around the home;
- Limit showers to five minutes;
- Run the dishwasher only when it is completely full;
- Limit the loads of laundry.
This comes on the heels of the ongoing water issues in the city of Liberty, which has enacted strict measures to preserve the abnormally low water levels at the lake from which the city draws its drinking water.
