(WKYT) – Over 57,000 customers are experiencing power outages across the Commonwealth, according to Kentucky Power Outages.
A majority of the outages are being reported in Northern Kentucky, with outages in Scott and Franklin Counties increasing as storms sweep through the area.
Over 4,000 customers in Fayette County are experiencing outages.
Clark Energy Cooperative said they are aware of outages throughout Clark County, and that crews are responding.
The company advised people to stay away from any downed power lines and to report them immediately.
In a social media post, LG&E and Kentucky Utilities said they would be watching the forecast closely, and will be ready to respond as quickly and safely as possible to any potential impacts.
