SOMERSET, Ky. (June 10, 2026) – On June 10, 2026, at around 6 p.m. EST, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 London received a call of a fatal vehicle versus motorcycle collision on KY3091 near the intersection of Wilson Rd. from Pulaski County 911.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2025 Roadster 250 motorcycle operated by Nathan D. Grider, 34 years old of Somerset, KY, was traveling southbound on KY3091 at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2020 Volkswagen Atlas operated by Shelby L. Crawford, 32 years old of Somerset, Ky, was traveling northbound on KY3091 and was negotiating a left-handed turn onto Wilson Rd., when Mr. Grider struck the front passenger side of Ms. Crawford’s vehicle.
As a result of this collision, Mr. Grider suffered injuries and was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he later succumbed to those injuries. He was pronounced deceased by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. Ms. Crawford was also transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for her injuries, but was later released.
This case remains under investigation by Trooper Austin Cornett. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this collision, but toxicology is pending.
Tpr Cornett was assisted by KSP personnel, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Somerset/Pulaski EMS, Somerset Fire Department, and the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office.
