(WKYT) — The Somerset Fire Department helped rescue a person who was stuck in an embankment after a car crash.
Crews were dispatched to Cumberland Parkway for a non-injury accident on Monday, June 8, according to the fire department.
At the scene, crews found a vehicle that had left the roadway, traveled down an embankment and hit a tree.
The driver was unable to get out of the vehicle because the driver’s side door was against a tree.
The department said crews used equipment to extricate the driver and a low-angle rope rescue system to help occupants get to the top of the embankment.
The Somerset Fire Department said the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on the scene.
