Pulaski County Man Arrested for Sex Crimes

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest on May 21 of a Pulaski man following an investigation regarding allegations of sex crimes.

Jason Burgess, 45, of Somerset, was arrested and charged with Rape in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, and other offenses.

The investigation began after information was received regarding inappropriate sexual conduct by Burgess involving a minor. During the course of the investigation, additional information involving another victim was obtained, with allegations of sexual assault occurring over an extended period of time.

Burgess was arrested without incident this evening and was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center where he is being held on a $500,000 bond. 

The investigation was conducted by Crimes Against Children Detective Jay Picard. Det. Picard is continuing the investigation and will present the case to the Pulaski County Grand Jury at a later date.
