Man charged in Berea bank shooting waives rights to preliminary hearing

 (WKYT) – Brailen Weaver, the man charged in the deadly Berea bank shooting, waived his rights to a preliminary hearing this morning.

This is after Weaver waived his rights to a detention hearing May 4. He remains in federal custody until his trial due to an order saying that Weaver is considered a flight risk and a threat to public safety.

Weaver will stand trial for allegedly shooting and killing employees Breanna Edwards, 35, and Brian Switzer, 42, inside a U.S. Bank in Berea April 30.
