Feguson Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Ferguson man for two counts of Attempted Murder after an early morning assault sent two individuals to the hospital with serious injuries.
On May 3, 2026 at approximately 5:43am, Deputies Dylan West and Zach Huff responded to an address on Waddle St., Ferguson, KY on a report of a physical assault. The caller advised Pulaski County 911 that Jonathan Gross, 44 years of age, Ferguson, KY, had struck the caller and his girlfriend with a baseball bat. The caller was able to get away from Gross during the assault to call 911.
Upon deputies’ arrival to the residence, they found a female subject sitting outside bleeding from her head. The female stated she had been struck in the head with a baseball bat by Gross, and that he was in a bedroom at the residence.
After several attempts to get Gross to comply and exit the bedroom on his own, deputies made entry into the bedroom and were able to take Gross into custody.
Jonathan Gross was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, two counts of Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
