Mudslingers Club recently traveled to the Art Center of the Bluegrass in Danville

The Mudslingers Club recently traveled to the Art Center of the Bluegrass in Danville, where they toured a kiln site that is used for the Center’s Ceramics studio. It was an educational day for these students as they learned about ancient firing methods. The Center’s “anagama” kiln is used as an underground tunnel to fire pottery, lined with brick and kindled wood that is manually stoked for hours at a time. To join or learn more about the Mudslingers Homemaker Club, contact the Wayne County Extension Office at 606-348-8453. Dues are $10 per year.
