(WKYT) – The Garrard County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on a federal warrant during a traffic stop Tuesday, April 14.
Kadrioan Santiago, 23, was wanted on a federal warrant related to interstate threatening communications, according to the sheriff’s office, involving threats of violence toward multiple individuals.
During the investigation, deputies found multiple weapons and tactical gear, including a handgun, AR-15-style rifle, an additional long gun, multiple magazines, a Kevlar helmet, gas masks and survival gear.
Santiago is being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center as he awaits transfer to federal custody.
“The nature of these federal charges, combined with the weapons and tactical gear located, is extremely alarming,” Sheriff Willie Skeens said. “Fortunately, nobody was injured during this arrest.”
