Pulaski Co. Schools superintendent retiring

 (WYMT) – One southern Kentucky school district will have a new superintendent after the school year ends.

Patrick Richardson confirmed with WYMT he will retire on June 30 from his position as the superintendent for Pulaski Co. Schools.

Richardson has served as the school district’s superintendent for the past eight years.

Richardson’s replacement will be Kent Mayfield.

Mayfield has been employed within the school district for nearly 30 years.

He has served as the school district’s assistant superintendent for the past year.

Mayfield will officially take over as the superintendent on July 1.
