(WKYT) – Kentucky State Police released body camera video following the guilty plea of a former state trooper.
The body camera video shows former Trooper Hayden Kilbourne using excessive force and hitting a suspect with his baton, according to state police.
The incident happened in Carroll County in July 2023.
The incident started after troopers were involved in a chase with a suspect reported to be armed and dangerous and driving a stolen vehicle.

Kilbourne pleaded guilty to second degree assault and third degree terroristic threatening.
KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. said Kilbourne’s actions are unacceptable.
