$85 Million Federal Grant Boosts Pulaski County Northern Bypass Project

Pulaski County’s Northern Bypass project has received a major boost with an $85 million Infrastructure for Rebuilding America grant, one of the largest federal transportation awards ever issued in Kentucky. With this latest funding, the project now totals $167 million in federal support, including $82 million in Community Project Funding secured in fiscal years 2024 and 2026. The planned 8‑mile bypass is a key step toward developing Interstate 365, a new east‑west connector linking I‑65 and I‑75 and improving access across Eastern Kentucky.
