(WKYT) – The London City Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on Spring Street Monday morning.
One person was rescued from the apartment fire during the incident and they, along with another person, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the department.
Those living in the complex’s eight units have been displaced due to the fire, the department said, and the American Red Cross was called in to assist.
All streets in the area are now reopened and traffic has returned to normal, the London City Fire Department said, and most units have cleared the scene.
The fire has been extinguished, with only some units remaining for follow-up operations.
