Man indicted in connection to downtown London fire

(WKYT) – A man was indicted in connection with a fire in January that damaged law offices in downtown London.

A Laurel County Grand Jury indicted Scottie Seeley on second degree arson and third degree burglary charges, according to court documents.

Seeley has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to a criminal complaint, Seeley was found inside the Cunnagin and Cunnagin Law Offices. Crews pulled him from the building and took him to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Detective Elbert Riley with the London Police Department said Seeley had admitted to going into the building to get warm.

Seeley is set to appear in court on March 23 for a pretrial conference.
