Wayne County Circuit Clerk, Patricia lay reports of area individuals receiving texts from someone claiming to be with the state department of motor vehicles.
The scam will say it’s a final notice on an outstanding bill such as a traffic ticket. The text will list several actions that will be taken against you if you don’t pay by the deadline.
She reminds you notice where the text message is coming from which is often listed as ky.drivershfp.vip/pay which is not an official state address. If there is every any question to what you have received do not give out any personal information until you have been able to verify properly what is stated.
