Monticello Fire Department continued with the 2025 Recruit Firefighter Course with Flashover training today. Over 30 students and instructors from various departments areas participated in today’s class. This course demonstrates the power of live fire and teaches firefighters how to remain situationally aware while fighting fires.
Personnel from Monticello, Albany, Parker’s Mill, and West McCreary participated in today’s training.
Thank you to Wayne County EMS for having a crew available to help out. Thank you to the Kentucky Fire Commission and State Fire Rescue Training for providing instructors and the awesome prop. Finally, thank you to Wayne County School District for allowing us to use the parking lot at the Gym!
