Monticello Fire Department was dispatched to 3 calls for service today.
#1 at 12:15 PM the department was dispatched to an injury vehicle collision on North Main Street. Units were cancelled while responding.
#2 at 3:19 PM firefighters responded to the area of Gregory Branch Road for a fire in the woods.
#3 at 6:03 PM personnel responded to a controlled burn that was at risk of getting out of control. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire using water and hand tools.
