Tuesday, February 18, 2025 – A two-vehicle collision occurred at 6:54 p.m. at stop light #2 injuring two persons.
Officer Casey Lang’s investigation determined Glenna Durkie, 83, of Monticello was operating a Ford Explorer and attempted to turn left from KY 90 into the entrance of Cumberland Crossing, pulling into the path of a westbound Jeep Cherokee being driven by Hailey Hutton, 24, also of Monticello, resulting in the vehicles colliding.
Both women were transported by Wayne County EMS to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
