MPD RECENT ARRESTS
Christopher David Brooks, 55, was arrested Monday (Feb 17) at 2:40 a.m. on KY 167 by Officer Casey Lang and Officer Jeramy Thompson. Brooks was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (auto). He is accused of stealing a Chevrolet Monte Carlo from the parking lot of Murphy’s USA a few minutes prior to being located and stopped by the officers.
James Loveless, 60, was arrested Monday (Feb 17) at 12:15 p.m. outside the front office of the Monticello Motel on North Main Street by Chief Joey Hoover and Major Josh Asberry. Loveless was charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Javon Wofford, 29, was arrested Tuesday (Feb 18) at 6:21 a.m. on Jenkins Street by Officer Jeramy Thompson. Wofford was charged with Violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, Terroristic Threatening, Menacing, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Assault 3rd Degree (Police Officer) and Burglary 2nd Degree.
Brooks, Loveless and Wofford were processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
