Gas prices in West Central Kentucky are four cents lower this week at $2.647, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

Locally Gas is around $2.79 in Monticello, cheapest in the Lake Cumberland Region is Russell Springs at $2.63 a gallon
Albany is the highest in the region at $2.88
Somerset and Whitley City are around $ 2.80
Trend Analysis:
The national gas average is starting the last week of 2024 slightly lower than the week before. Today’s average of $3.02 is two cents lower than one week ago, three cents lower than one month ago, and nine cents lower than one year ago. West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices are trading around $71 per barrel today, which is mostly consistent with prices over the past month.
