The local Monticello tree lighting and opening of Christmas Tree Alley is coming up at 6 pm this evening in downtown Monticello.
There’ll be performances from the Waynetonians, remarks from County Judge Scott Gehring and Mayor Kenny Katron. Dustin Thompson will read the Christmas Story and lead the prayer. Everyone is welcome.
Traffic Alert: the downtown square will be blocked from traffic with detours in place starting at 5:00 p.m. for final preparations for the “Lighting of the Christmas Tree/Opening of Christmas Tree Alley” at 6:00 p.m.
