Important Details for Christmas Tree Alley that Begins Today

Important Details for Christmas Tree Alley:
1. Set up will begin on the day after Thanksgiving, November 29th. We know there is one tree up already, but that was a special circumstance. Please wait until 11/29 as the area is not completely ready yet. Spots are first come, first serve.
2. Electric will be turned on at night in the Alley beginning with the City of Monticello, Kentucky Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 5th.
3. There have been extra outlets added on the posts throughout the market building so that we could cut down on the number of extension cords this year (big thanks to Scott Gehring and the County). There will be sandbags to weight your tree as well. We do recommend tying your tree to a post if you are in a position to do that as the winds can sometimes be destructive.
4. Signage. If you have a sign from a previous year (a wood slice), please bring that back for reuse. If you do not, we will get you one shortly after we have taken inventory of missing signs. If you have never participated or know that you do not have a wood slice, please just comment “need signage” on this post.
5. There will be a prize for the best decorated tree based on viewer’s choice!
6. Lastly, if you would like a shoutout on social media, please send us just a short blurb about your business or organization (lakecumberlandlife@gmail or DM), and we will make sure to include it with a photo of your tree in the month of December.
We appreciate your continued support in our community, and we cannot wait to see you at the 2024 Christmas Tree Alley!
