Two Accidents Reported on Wednesday

Firefighters responded to a one vehicle accident on Highway 167. When units arrived, they found a truck had left the roadway and went over the embankment. The truck was teetering on a rock with two occupants still inside. Firefighters were able to hook up support cables from the fire truck and a wrecker to stabilize the truck to remove the occupants.
While on that call, firefighters were called to a two vehicle accident on the Kelly Lane Spann Hill Road. One vehicle had left the roadway and went over an embankment getting stuck in some trees. Fire and EMS units were able to free the occupant and transport her back up the hill to receive care by Wayne County EMS.
Before the units could get back to the station, firefighters were called out to the Frazier Community to provide a LZ for an inbound helicopter picking up a burn victim.
