At approximately 1:40 p.m. Sunday, a two-vehicle collision occurred in front of Sunoco/Beaver Food Mart on North Main Street injuring two persons.
Major Josh Asberry’s investigation determined Brianna Ledbetter, 29, of Monticello, lost control of her 2019 KIA Rio while traveling southbound, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a utility pole, then coming back onto the roadway and colliding with a northbound 2012 Dodge truck being driven by Dylan Hicks, 22, of Monticello.
Brianna Ledbetter and a passenger, 29-year-old Richard Ledbetter, were both transported by ambulance to the Wayne County Hospital for treatment and observation.
Dylan Hicks and a passenger in his truck, 21-year-old Destiny Rose, were not injured.
At approximately 1:20 p.m. Monday, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the stop light in front of Dairy Queen on North Main Street injuring one person.
Major Josh Asberry’s investigation determined Jerry L. Morrison, 74, of Monticello, was operating a 2009 Dodge Caliber traveling southbound on North Main Street, failed to stop for the red traffic light, resulting in her car colliding with a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu that was pulling out of the Tradeway Center being driven by Rita McIntyre, 72, of Taylors, SC.
Morrison was not injured. McIntyre was transported by ambulance to the Wayne County Hospital for treatment and observation.
