UPDATE:
Joseph Fulton was arrested around 8:30 Friday night by two Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies. He was taken into custody in the Slickford Community on Hog Hollow Road. He was lodged in the detention center and charged with Murder, Arson, Tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
Kentucky State Police Investigates Murder in Wayne County
The Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in connection with a murder investigation in Wayne County.
Joseph K. Fulton, 43-year-old of Monticello, Ky.
Fulton is 6ft, 150lbs, Brown Eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and blue jeans. Fulton may be driving a 2008 grey or tan Dodge Nitro, Kentucky plate BHH801, which is registered to his mother, Mary Fulton.

Detective Matthew Parmley is actively continuing the investigation
One person has been confirmed dead and another on the run as authorities investigate a shooting that occurred earlier this morning in the Mill Springs area.
Newsfirst has learned that a female was shot inside her home this morning, with a fire started at the structure. Authorities have a person of interest in the investigation however that individual has not been located at this time.
The Wayne County Schools issued a statement concerning the investigation to ensure parents that all safety protocols are in place, even though there is no indication of any threat to staff or students.
